Working field:

At the beginning of the winter semester 2021/22, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin launched a new Bachelor program in Applied Midwifery Science. The Institute of Midwifery S, which forms part of the Charité Center for Health and Human Sciences (CC1), is looking for a Research Associate to assist with the planning and delivery of midwifery-related course content.

Your area of responsibility:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Charité’s Bachelor program in Applied Midwifery Science
  • Organize, plan and deliver midwifery-related course content
  • Supervise students as they complete theoretical and practical course components
  • Plan, prepare and deliver examinations
  • Assist with quality improvement and quality assurance pertaining to both theoretical and practical course components
  • Apply for, plan, execute and evaluate scientific research projects
  • Opportunity to pursue a PhD

Scientific staff is given sufficient time to carry out their own scientific work in accordance with their employment relationship

Requirements:

  • A degree in Midwifery Sciences, Health Sciences or Social Sciences
  • Licensed to practice midwifery
  • Practical experience in midwifery
  • Experience in teaching at university level and supervising students
  • A keen interest (and potentially experience) in evidence-based practice and the planning, conduct and evaluation of midwifery-related research
  • A very high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
  • A high level of proficiency in academic writing for publication
  • Ability to work independently, excellent team working and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, good time management skills, adaptability and flexibility
