Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Within a third-party funded research project the TU Berlin will develop a process line for the repair of microelectronic components using different techniques.
The work at TU Berlin focusses on the development on wire bonding with different processes and wire materials after the previous removal of a chip and a corresponding preparation of the surface. The repair spots are then to be analysed in reliability tests.
Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent): materials science, electrical engineering, microsystems technology, physics or a related field.
Knowledge and experience of
a) heavy wire or thin wire bonding
b) analytics, such as scanning electron microscopy
c) very Good knowledge of German as well as English (oral and written)
Desirable/advantageous would be
Knowledge of materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry or physics would be desirable/advantageous
Interest in assembly and interconnection technology, especially in the field of power and control electronics in the automotive environment
willingness to perform hands-on lab work
Structured and independent way of working
Willingness to take responsibility for subtasks
Ability to work in a team, willingness for documentation tasks
