Working field:

Collaboration in research at the above-mentioned department on economic issues concerning circular economy and innovation in the context of the nutrient turnaround and sustainable development within the framework of the research project zirkulierBAR ("Inter-communal acceptance for sustainable value creation from sanitary by-product streams"). The BMBF-funded project uses a real laboratory in the Barnim district to analyze the feasibility of innovative concepts for the circular economy of nutrients from food ( Economic and planning perspectives on the quantitative and qualitative development prospects of regional economic activity are developed and the necessary framework conditions for innovation and regional development are identified. Lessons for other innovation processes in the context of the energy, sanitation and agricultural turnaround will also be drawn from the innovation and development process.


  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in industrial engineering, economics, sustainable management, energy and process engineering or comparable studies
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of institutional economics, innovation economics and transformation studies is an advantage
  • good command of German and/or English required; willingness to learn either English or German is expected
