Your responsibility
In a third-party funded research project called RAPTOR, a novel combined radar/camera sensor is being developed for a drone intended for use in forestry environments.
The work at TU Berlin focusses on the development of sensor hardware development as well as on firmware development for the combined radar/camera module.
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in electrical engineering or a comparable degree program with a strong focus on electrical engineering
- Knowledge and experience from project work in at least two of the following areas
a) Python/ C / C++ programming for processing radar and camera signals
b) Implementation of registration and calibration algorithms for camera and radar sensors in Python/C/C++
c) Evaluation of radar/camera modules with a focus on the combined detection of complex environments - Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
- Experience in the hardware development of radar modules desirable
- Experience in the design of radar antennas desirable
- A structured and independent approach to work desirable
- Willingness to take responsibility for subtasks desirable
- Ability to work in a team desirable
- Willingness to document project work desirable
