Your responsibility

  • Research in the field of public economics using methods of microeconomic theory, particularly regarding environmental economics, inequality, justice, and redistribution.
  • Organization and execution of teaching courses as well as supervision and support of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
  • Support for the chair in the areas of research, teaching, and administration, as well as in acquiring third-party funded projects.
  • Application for the “PhD Program” at the Berlin School of Economics is desired and supported (https://berlinschoolofeconomics.de/).

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in economics or related fields, e.g., philosophy with economic content.
  • Very good knowledge of microeconomic theory and its application in public economics.
  • Experience and interest in questions of environmental economics, inequality, justice, and redistribution, including their philosophical foundations.
  • The ability to teach in German and/or English is required, as well as the willingness to acquire any missing language skills.
  • A high degree of independence and commitment advantageous.
