The Clus­ter of Excel­lence “Uni­fy­ing Sys­tems in Cata­lysis” (UniSy­sCat) at TU Ber­lin has set its­elf the goal of increas­ing the num­ber of women in aca­demic man­age­ment pos­i­tions. This goal is also to be achie­ved by help­ing women pre­pare for a post­doc­toral period abroad, a key pro­fes­sio­nal exper­i­ence for a career in sci­ence. To this end, the Clus­ter of Excel­lence UniSy­sCat is seek­ing app­lic­a­tions for a one-year post­doc pos­i­tion from out­stand­ing female sci­ent­ists who have com­ple­ted their doc­tor­ate in a topic or field rel­ev­ant to the Clus­ter’s rese­arch.
Depend­ing on the can­did­ate’s rese­arch focus, the pos­i­tion can be taken up at one of eight part­ner insti­tu­tions in addi­tion to TU Ber­lin (www.unisyscat.de).

Work­ing field:

  • Col­lab­or­a­tion in a UniSy­sCat rese­arch pro­ject cor­res­pond­ing to your own rese­arch focus
  • Sub­mis­sion of a grant pro­posal for a post­doc abroad

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in chem­istry, bio­logy, or a rela­ted spe­cial­iz­a­tion
  • A doc­tor­ate in a field rel­ev­ant to cata­lysis
  • Innov­at­ive pro­ject pro­pos­als are reques­ted which can be integ­rated into the Clus­ter of Excel­lence’s rese­arch pro­gram
  • Will­ing­ness to par­ti­cip­ate in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary pro­jects
  • Team­work skills and social com­pet­ences
  • Excel­lent Eng­lish and Ger­man skills
