The department of Agent Technologies in Business Applications and Telecommunication is offering job positions for scientific researchers (doctoral candidate) with the following working field:
Work in a research project for the development of a multi-agent system for distributed and automated steel production
Conceptional design and development of a distributed system for autonomous and collaborative planning of production processes
Addressing scientific and technical challenges like distributed planning and negotiation mechanisms
Further development of an existing multi-agent framework
Cooperation with multiple project partners
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or a related field
Knowledge of the concepts, methods, and technologies in the fields of Multi-Agent Systems, Planning & Negotiation
Experience with Distributed Systems, and Middleware-Technologies
Very good programming skills (Java, C++ or Python)
Good skills of abstraction, modelling, and finding creative solutions
Excellent command of German and English
