Evaluation of geological, geophysical, hydrological and hydrogeological information in the catchment area of the Spree Lausitz to create a hydrogeological concept model
Large-scale calculation of groundwater recharge
Creation of a groundwater model that takes into account aquifer genesis and paleo-hydrology
Conducting field experiments, such as tracer experiments, pumping experiments, push-pull experiments in the field, and installation of measuring devices in boreholes and surface waters
Contacting regional stakeholders in Lusatia, such as LEAG, LBMV, LfU, MLUK
Supervision of qualifying theses (BSc and MSc) in the context of the project objectives
successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in geotechnology or a comparable engineering degree with emphasis on hydrogeology and engineering geology
Knowledge of the regional geology of Brandenburg and methods of geological mapping
Knowledge in the development of models that included the formation of geological systems
Experience in conducting hydrogeological and hydrochemical field experiments
good command of German and/or English required; willingness to learn either English or German is expected
Experience in numerical modeling with emphasis on groundwater flow
Good knowledge of geostatistical methods
Good ability in the use of scripting languages such as Python
Experience in supervising BSc and MSc thesis
Experience in interaction with local authorities in the water section
