Technische Universität Berlin - Faculty II - Institute of Chemistry / Stranski Laboratory for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry

Research Assistant - 0.67 working time - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

Project work in the BMBF-funded project „Analysis of SANS Data of Complex Structured Soft Matter Systems“. Within this project the structure of complexes of copolymers and detergents in solution will be studied, the solvent being either water or DES (Deep Eutectic Solvents). Firstly, the phase behaviour of the systems must be characterised exactly. Subsequently, the systems will be pre-characterised by means of static and dynamic light scattering (SLS, DLS). The detailed structure determination will then be done by a combination of small-angle (neutron and X-ray) scattering (SANS; SAXS). The target is the correlation between the molecular topology of the complexes and their nanometric structure.

Requirements:

Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in chemistry, physics or related subjects; excellent grades desired. Comprehensive knowledge in physical and synthetic chemistry and familiarity with the characterisation of nanostructured systems in solution are required. Considerable knowledge of the properties of DES and detergents as well as instrumental working techniques are desirable. Good command of German and/or English is required; willingness to learn either English or German is expected.

How to apply:

Please send your application with the reference number and the usual documents (combined in a single pdf file, max. 5 MB) by email to Prof. Dr. Gradzielski at tc7.tc9@chemie.tu-berlin.de.

By submitting your application via email you consent to having your data electronically processed and saved. Please note that we do not provide a guaranty for the protection of your personal data when submitted as unprotected file. Please find our data protection notice acc. DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation) at the TU staff department homepage: https://www.abt2-t.tu-berlin.de/menue/themen_a_z/datenschutzerklaerung/ or quick access 214041.

To ensure equal opportunities between women and men, applications by women with the required qualifications are explicitly desired. Qualified individuals with disabilities will be favored. The TU Berlin values the diversity of its members and is committed to the goals of equal opportunities.
