Participation in the joint research project “Autonom SOW II” in the field of autonomous inland navigation
Conception, design, setup and launch of a sensor system for environmental data logging on ships
Plan and carry out specific measuring runs and long time data logging
Automated data processing, evaluation and visualization
Document, report and publicize research results
Successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Maser or equivalent) in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering; alternatively in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation/Control Technology or similar with advanced knowledge in Naval Architecture/Inland Navigation/Autonomous Driving
Fluent verbal and written command of the German language
Knowledge in testing/measurement technology, measurement data processing, digital pattern recognition, machine learning
Knowledge in the fields of autonomous driving
Knowledge in the field of ship hydrodynamics
Capacity for teamwork, a high degree of engagement, flexibility, an economic way of thinking, the capability to document and present complex facts and circumstances
good command of the English language
