Work­ing field:

  • cooper­a­tion in research: high level research in dynam­ical sys­tems, integ­rable sys­tems, dis­crete dif­fer­en­tial geo­metry. Par­ti­cip­at­ing in one or sev­eral Pro­jects within SFB/TRR 109 "Dis­cret­iz­a­tion in Geo­metry and Dynam­ics" (
  • teach­ing at the Insti­tute of Math­em­at­ics (Geo­metry and Math­em­at­ical Phys­ics), includ­ing exer­cise classes, sem­inars and lec­tures, if required (4 SWS for a full time pos­i­tion), (co)-super­vising Bach­elor and Mas­ter theses.


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in math­em­at­ics and PhD in the area of dynam­ical sys­tems with emphasis on integ­rable sys­tems
  • teach­ing exper­i­ence at the uni­versity level
  • inter­na­tional research exper­i­ence
  • very good com­mand of Eng­lish and of Ger­man
  • very good know­ledge of dif­fer­en­tial geo­metry and sym­plectic geo­metry
  • exper­i­ence in exper­i­mental math­em­at­ics and in applic­a­tion of sym­bolic and numer­ical soft­ware
  • high level of motiv­a­tion and ini­ti­at­ive
  • col­lab­or­at­ive and com­mu­nic­at­ive way of work­ing
