Work­ing field:

  • Research within the fol­low­ing Pro­ject of the CRC/TRR 109, fun­ded by the DFG (Ger­man Research Found­a­tion): B02: Jurij Suris: "Dis­crete mul­ti­di­men­sional integ­rable sys­tems".
  • Oppor­tun­ity to pre­pare a doc­tor­ate.

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in math­em­at­ics is required.
  • Thor­ough expert­ise in Dynam­ical Sys­tems, Integ­rable Sys­tems and Dis­crete Dif­fer­en­tial Geo­metry is a pre­requis­ite.
  • An exper­i­ence with sym­bolic manip­u­la­tion soft­ware is expec­ted.
  • Good com­mand of Ger­man and/or Eng­lish required; will­ing­ness to learn either Eng­lish or Ger­man is expec­ted.
  • We expect inde­pend­ent work on high aca­demic level.
  • A com­mand of Cal­cu­lus of Vari­ations and of basic Algeb­raic Geo­metry is prefer­able.
