University Professor of Criminal Law and Gender Studies
The successful applicant will cover research and teaching in criminal law and gender studies.
Appointment requirements are governed by Article 100 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).
The appointee should be able to demonstrate high quality international research in the academic field of criminal law. She or he should also have experience in acquiring and leading externally funded research projects. In addition, the candidate should have extensive teaching experience.
Along with the regular official duties of professors listed in Article 99 of the Berlin Higher Education Act, we expect the appointee to engage in the following activities:
The candidate will help to strengthen research efforts in gender studies and criminal law in the Department of Law as well as teach courses in these areas. She or he will also support teaching in the area of specialisation “Criminal Justice and Criminology.” The candidate should also be willing to conduct empirical legal research. The new professor will also be expected to address gender and diversity issues as part of their curriculum.
