Working field:

As a research assistant at the Chair of Handling and Assembly Technology, you stand for a value stream analysis in manufacturing. The focus of the chair is resource planning, flexible assembly automation and the process-oriented development and establishment of technological an organisational improvement.
The team is currently looking for support in the area of data analysis in a research project with several industrial and research partners. The project deals with used products which are returned and need to be identified and evaluated. The aim is to support employees with digital assistance systems in real time. The system should analyse available data to provide decision support and to reduce error rates and lead times.
You will be responsible for the achievement of scientific goals and the organisation of the project. Therefore, you communicate with project partners and sponsors, define deliverables and work to achieve them.
From a manufacturing engineering perspective, you develop a concept for better product identification by a worker based on available system information. You implement and test this concept at some workstations of the industrial partners. With your experience in the area of human-system interfaces, you will contribute to design a user-friendly and easily configurable system. You will represent the project and the chair regionally and internationally in order to disseminate the project results.
