Work­ing field:

The PhD can­did­ate will invest­ig­ate novel vis­ion-based algorithms that com­bine model-based and machine learn­ing meth­ods for scene under­stand­ing and spa­tial AI (motion estim­a­tion, seg­ment­a­tion, 3D recon­struc­tion, etc.) using tra­di­tional cam­eras and novel sensors, such as neur­omorphic cam­eras ( The work com­bines per­cep­tion, optim­iz­a­tion and con­trol dis­cip­lines.


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Com­puter Sci­ence or a related engin­eer­ing sub­ject with out­stand­ing res­ults
  • excel­lent know­ledge of and exper­i­ence with com­puter vis­ion, robot­ics, machine learn­ing, con­trol, object-ori­ented pro­gram­ming and applied math­em­at­ics
  • excel­lent writ­ten and spoken Eng­lish skills; good com­mand of Ger­man required; will­ing­ness to learn Ger­man is expec­ted
