Work­ing field:

Research and Devel­op­ment of med­ical devices, espe­cially for the detec­tion of products of meta­bol­ism

- exe­cu­tion of a research pro­ject with com­pre­hens­ive tasks in:
  • con­cep­tion, devel­op­ment, and real­isa­tion of a micro-flu­idic sup­port sys­tem
  • con­cep­tion, devel­op­ment, and real­isa­tion of a mini­atur­ized optical sys­tem
  • integ­ra­tion of micro-flu­idic, micro-optical, and micro-elec­tron­ical com­pon­ents in one device
  • pre­par­a­tion of a reli­able and repro­du­cible pro­duc­tion of com­pon­ents
  • national and inter­na­tional pub­lic­a­tion of research res­ults
  • rep­res­ent­a­tion of the topic in national and inter­na­tional com­mit­tees and organ­isa­tions

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Mech­an­ical Engin­eer­ing with a spe­cial­iz­a­tion on micro-sys­tems and/or micro-devices is man­dat­ory
  • exper­i­ences with CAD-sys­tems, Optics-Soft­ware, FEM-Soft­ware, Mat­Lab, and ana­lytic-soft­ware as well as con­fid­ence in the use of devel­op­ment-meth­ods are expec­ted
  • know­ledge on the human-centered devel­op­ment of med­ical sys­tems for dia­gnosis and ther­apy is neces­sary
  • pre­requis­ite is the evid­ence of skills for inter­na­tional and inter­dis­cip­lin­ary cooper­a­tion between vari­ous sci­entific fields, espe­cially bio­tech­no­logy and bio­chem­istry
  • as part of a highly motiv­ated team you are a team-Player; your work is char­ac­ter­ized by self-motiv­a­tion, inde­pend­ency, and self-organ­iz­a­tion
  • busi­ness-flu­ent skills of the Eng­lish lan­guage are man­dat­ory
  • man­dat­ory are busi­ness-flu­ent skills of the Ger­man lan­guage or the prov­able will­ing­ness to learn it
  • prefer­ably exper­i­ence in indus­trial R&D-pro­jects
