Collaboration in research at the chair of Energy Engineering and Environmental Protection. Carrying out own research on the area of optimization of transcritical CO2 refrigeration machines.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in energy engineering, process engineering, power plant engineering or a closely related engineering science with a focus on energy engineering, thermodynamics and exergy-based methods with a very good degree.
Very good knowledge of energy conversion concepts and plants as well as evaluation methods (exergy analysis, economic analysis)
Good verbal and written German and English skills, at least at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Independent and structured way of working, ability to work in a team
Experience in simulation of energy conversion systems and chemical engineering processes, for example with the software tools Aspen Plus, Python, Matlab, EES, Ebsilon Professional
Experience in the application of exergy-based methods
Experience in mathematical optimization, for example with the software tools GAMS or Python
