in an in-house BMBF-fun­ded joint pro­ject „TUB Teach­ing 2.0 – Innov­at­iver Ein­stieg, Pro­fes­sions- und Forschungsor­i­entier­ung im berufs­bezo­genen Lehramtsstu­dium“ at the depart­ment Edu­ca­tion for Sus­tain­able Nutri­tion and Food Sci­ence

Work­ing field:

Estab­lish­ment of top­ics and aspects of sus­tain­ab­il­ity in the devel­op­ment of assign­ments by teach­ers-to-be; this includes:
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the con­cep­tion, plan­ning and teach­ing of courses in the mas­ter stud­ies of voca­tional teach­ers as well of teach­ers of the sub­ject “Arbeitslehre” each semester. In these courses it will be focused on the devel­op­ment of hands-on-assign­ments for voca­tional schools (learn­ing situ­ations) and for the sub­ject “Arbeitslehre/ WAT”.
  • Dia­logue with prac­ti­tion­ers in order to deeply ana­lyse fun­da­mental work­ing pro­cesses, carve out aspects rel­ev­ant to sus­tain­ab­il­ity and trans­dis­cip­lin­ar­ily deduce the sus­tain­ab­il­ity-related oper­a­tion and qual­ity require­ments in close dis­course with the prac­ti­tion­ers.
  • Devel­op­ments of manu­als for the integ­ra­tion of sus­tain­ab­il­ity aspects in the devel­op­ments of assign­ments and for teach­ing sus­tain­ab­il­ity-ori­ented com­pet­en­cies.
  • Close cooper­a­tion with all four cooper­a­tion labs of all four fields (struc­tural engin­eer­ing, elec­trical engin­eer­ing, nutri­tion and home eco­nom­ics, “Arbeitslehre”) as well as with the co-work­ers respons­ible for the other cross-cut­ting top­ics lan­guage devel­op­ment and digit­al­isa­tion.
  • Writ­ing sci­entific pub­lic­a­tions
  • Present­a­tion of pro­ject res­ults at national and inter­na­tional con­fer­ences as well as internal pro­ject meet­ings (e.g. PhD col­loquia, meet­ings with advis­ory board)


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) with a focus on sus­tain­ab­il­ity
  • Veri­fi­able excel­lent didactical com­pet­ency / teach­ing exper­i­ence prefer­ably in voca­tional edu­ca­tion and train­ing or the sub­ject “Arbeitslehre/WAT” and/or in teach­ing at a uni­versity
  • Very good know­ledge of the Ger­man voca­tional sys­tem and the Ber­lin teacher edu­ca­tion are advant­age­ous
  • Excel­lent skills in Ger­man (speak­ing and writ­ing), good Eng­lish skills are advant­age­ous
  • Dis­tinct com­mu­nic­at­ive skills, organ­isa­tional tal­ent, flex­ib­il­ity, resi­li­ence and capa­city for team­work
  • High degree of read­i­ness to take on respons­ib­il­ity and oper­a­tional read­i­ness
