Research assistant - 0.5 working time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen
in an in-house BMBF-funded joint project „TUB Teaching 2.0 – Innovativer Einstieg, Professions- und Forschungsorientierung im berufsbezogenen Lehramtsstudium“ at the department Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Science
Establishment of topics and aspects of sustainability in the development of assignments by teachers-to-be; this includes:
Participation in the conception, planning and teaching of courses in the master studies of vocational teachers as well of teachers of the subject “Arbeitslehre” each semester. In these courses it will be focused on the development of hands-on-assignments for vocational schools (learning situations) and for the subject “Arbeitslehre/ WAT”.
Dialogue with practitioners in order to deeply analyse fundamental working processes, carve out aspects relevant to sustainability and transdisciplinarily deduce the sustainability-related operation and quality requirements in close discourse with the practitioners.
Developments of manuals for the integration of sustainability aspects in the developments of assignments and for teaching sustainability-oriented competencies.
Close cooperation with all four cooperation labs of all four fields (structural engineering, electrical engineering, nutrition and home economics, “Arbeitslehre”) as well as with the co-workers responsible for the other cross-cutting topics language development and digitalisation.
Writing scientific publications
Presentation of project results at national and international conferences as well as internal project meetings (e.g. PhD colloquia, meetings with advisory board)
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) with a focus on sustainability
Verifiable excellent didactical competency / teaching experience preferably in vocational education and training or the subject “Arbeitslehre/WAT” and/or in teaching at a university
Very good knowledge of the German vocational system and the Berlin teacher education are advantageous
Excellent skills in German (speaking and writing), good English skills are advantageous
Distinct communicative skills, organisational talent, flexibility, resilience and capacity for teamwork
High degree of readiness to take on responsibility and operational readiness
