Work­ing field:

Act­ive col­lab­or­a­tion in teach­ing and research at the chair of Energy Pro­cess Engin­eer­ing and Con­ver­sion Tech­no­lo­gies for Renew­able Ener­gies at the Insti­tute for Energy Tech­no­logy.
The work­ing group energy sys­tems works in dif­fer­ent activ­ity and research fields. These include the grid integ­ra­tion of renew­able ener­gies and the sim­u­la­tion and mod­el­ling of bat­ter­ies. On the other hand, the group also deals with top­ics such as sec­tor coup­ling or neigh­bour­hood con­cepts in the energy field. Fur­ther­more, we par­ti­cip­ate in the devel­op­ment and intro­duc­tion of a mas­ter pro­gram in the field of renew­able energy in Uzbek­istan (fun­ded by EU).
Work task of the advert­ised pos­i­tion is the pro­cure­ment of new research pro­jects in the above-men­tioned research fields. Fur­ther­more, sup­port is required in the imple­ment­a­tion of cur­rent courses, sem­inars and sum­mer schools and in the design and devel­op­ment of new courses.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) with focus on Energy Engin­eer­ing, Renew­able Ener­gies or Elec­trical Engin­eer­ing. In addi­tion, pro­found exper­i­ence in one or more of the above-men­tioned fields of activ­ity of the chair is essen­tial. This requires extens­ive pro­gram­ming know­ledge (Mat­lab, Python or sim­ilar pro­grams). Flu­ency in Ger­man as well as very good know­ledge of Eng­lish lan­guage are com­puls­ory. Pre­requis­ite is fur­ther the com­pet­ence in the gender-sens­it­ive imple­ment­a­tion of courses as well as the organ­iz­a­tion of sum­mer academies, work­shops and tutori­als.
Bene­fi­cial is the will­ing­ness to take longer busi­ness trips. The exper­i­ence in apply­ing for research pro­jects is desir­able. Applic­ants with very good ana­lyt­ical skills, team­work and exper­i­ence in aca­demic pub­lish­ing are pre­ferred.
